Publication date: October 3rd 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

Synopsis:
Bookish college sophomore Sydney Baker wants Evan Taylor with every ounce of her being. The hottest stud on campus, Evan is six foot four, ripped, stacked with muscles. He’s even easy to talk to.

There’s just one problem: he’s her roommate Melanie’s boyfriend.

But when Melanie tragically dies after a night of wild partying, Sydney and Evan turn to each other in a time of intense grief. And it doesn’t take long for their close friendship to blossom into something more.

Unfortunately for Sydney, secrets from the past soon put her relationship with Evan to the test. Especially when a sexy blonde freshman makes her way into Evan’s life, and tries to rip away everything Sydney holds close to her heart.

Purchase:

Sydney was is a terrible accident when she was in high school that left her boyfriend dead. The accident impacted her and gave her a profound passion and fear for drunk driving. She stays far from parties and any kind of debauchery. Through it all she has one little secret that she can't seem to let go. She's in love with her roommates boyfriend.

Evan and Sydney share a class together which has led them to have a close relationship but not as close as Sydney would like. She is determined to have him or least be around him ever possible second. One night she agrees to go to a party with Melanie her roommate and Evan but everything turns south when Melanie gets completely drunk and attempts to drive them home. After a headed argument, Melanie steers clear of Sydney and she is worried that her roommate found out about the heated moment between her and Evan. What she doesn't realize is her friend has actually died and has been dead in her bed for days. (Gross I know!)

After some time passes Evan and Sydney finally get what they wanted, each other. They are both blissfully happy until Melanie's identical little sister shows up on campus and barges into their lives. All of Sydney's insecurities surface and just when she has reached her limit, tragedy strikes. Her worst nightmare comes true.

This was one of those books that sucked you and completely captured your attention, which is a huge high give to the author. I think I read it one day. Sydney was so frustrating for me though. I thought she had so much potential but couldn't get past her obsession. Evan was one of those character you just can't figure out. At first your in love with him then your suspicious of him and then your in love again but a little cautious and when your finally like "MARRY ME!"... he turns around and smacks you. Do you see the roller coaster ride? Needless to say. Go read it.
